Olympic Style Boxing

RallySport Boxing Groups and Private Sessions are the ultimate way for you to achieve a lean body and boost your energy and confidence. Taught by Carrie Barry, Level 3 USA Boxing Coach and Captain of the US Boxing Team since 2004. Carrie was a training partner for the 2012 London Olympics. Mix up your weekly routine by committing to a boxing workout is a great way to achieve your goals. You will challenge your balance, improve shoulder stability, upper and core strength, and lower body agility and coordination. Boxing is a perfect way to recover after a weekend of skiiing and to cross train for any sport.

ESPN's panel of experts rated "boxing pound for pound, the toughest workout in the world." And "The sport demands the most from the athletes who compete in it." Whenever you commit to an hour of boxing you will burn 600-900 calories per hour depending on your body type and experience. Your heart rate can achieve 75-85% of maxiumim heart rate, therefore it's boxing is a perfect way to achieve your threshold cardio sessions.

Boxing workouts are a great outlet for stress from your everyday life and will help you achieve a sense of relief. There is no better feeling than the satisfaction and achievemenent felt whenever you execute a proper punch. For some boxing is a form of relaxation and to nurture a character of self-motivation.

No matter what your condition is right now, boxing training allows you to immerse in the sessions at a pace in which you feel comfortable. The groups encourage you to push your limits with no choreographed routines to follow.

A typical session will include partner drills, mitt work with instructor, agility drills, jump rope, core strengthening, with medicine ball, and lots of sweating- not to mention a lot of laughing, as well. Ages 15 and up. Please inquire about youth lessons.
